WHO WE ARE

Put Alabama First is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(4) organization. We collaborate with citizens and organizations invested in Alabama’s future and interested in working together to fight for fair public policies that protect and celebrate the state’s rich diversity and ensure equal and fair representation of all communities in the political process.

WhY We'RE HERE

  • Conducting and supporting public policy research

  • Increasing awareness of the political process and public policies

  • Creating and supporting leadership development programs for young people interested in public policy advocacy

  • Building the electorate through non-partisan voter registration activities, especially in communities historically underrepresented in the voting population

  • Developing partnerships with community-building organizations to advance Alabama
